"After attaining a first class degree in medical sciences, I wanted a first-rate grounding in business-related subjects before applying for a graduate management position.

As a result of my MBM study, my business knowledge increased tremendously in a very short time and I have been able to transfer this knowledge directly into practice in my new job. The course also afforded me abundant opportunities to give presentations to my class as well as to work in numerous groups. As a result I have the self-confidence to present to senior managers at work, and feel equally comfortable working in a group as on my own.

I am now employed by Standard Life on their graduate management trainee programme. This is a two year programme, consisting of four placements across a number of Standard Life's divisions.

My first placement was working as a business consultant for group pensions business development, and after just six months I was thoroughly enjoying the responsibilities, challenges and rewards that come with working for a company like Standard Life."
