Christine is an award-winning member of staff. In December 2000 she was named European Business Librarian of the Year, an annual award sponsored by the Gale Group. In December 1998 Christine was awarded a Library Association Royal Charter Centenary Medal - one of only 100 in the UK - awarded in recognition of her professional expertise and personal enthusiasm.

Christine was elected as Fellow of the Institute of Information Scientists in September 1997. From 1996 to 1999 she was President of the European Business School Librarians Group which is a co-operative working group of librarians from the top business schools across Europe. She has been an active member of the information profession in Scotland serving an elected member of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals in Scotland.
