Postgraduate Diploma/MSc

You may initially decide that you do not wish to study for the full year, in which case, you may apply for the Postgraduate Diploma in Business and Management. The Diploma part of the programme consists of stages 1 and 2 and takes nine months to complete. Stage 3 leads to the award of the MSc in Business and Management which entails the noncredit class in project methodology and the individual project worth 30 credits. Performance in the formal examinations and coursework assignments in stages 1 and 2 of the Diploma (irrespective of whether you are registered for the Postgraduate Diploma or MSc) govern progress towards the MSc. In this way, students registered for the Diploma may transfer to the MSc programme. Conversely, students registered for the MSc, but who do not reach the requisite performance standards, may be transferred to the Diploma track. Top of page

Teaching Methods

At SBS we do not believe in "chalk and talk" our teaching methods are varied and highly interactive. Teaching methods include lectures, seminars, case studies, role play exercises and use of computer laboratories. Computers and software packages are similar to those in common business use.

The Strathclyde MBM attracts a very international student body, so we maximise your opportunity to learn from each other, as well as from our academic team.
