This module introduces the main functional areas of management. Marketing Management identifies potential customers and their needs and provides a process for satisfying those needs through an effective operations function.
Management of Operations explores the development and provision of a product or service in the most cost effective and timely manner. These operations are people-driven, therefore it is essential that you understand how the human resource department in an organisation behaves, is best motivated and how an organisation is best structured to achieve corporate goals.
Consequently, Organisations and Human Resource Management is an essential unit within this module. Both the physical and human aspects of an organisation must be funded and new finance may be required for any new investment proposed.
Therefore, Finance and Financial Management addressees how organisations are financed and how their financial activities must meet the requirements of the various stakeholders, including the owners and employees. All these Management Functions must therefore interact together.
