Having understood how the various elements of an organisation operate, now turn to the development of policies for taking it forward to meet its organisational goals as a whole. You will therefore study the basic concepts of Business Economics which underpin an organisation's activities.

You then consider the external environment by carrying out activities such as competitor analysis. You will also analyse strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.

From this analysis you develop the Business Policy for the future of the organisation and how it may be best implemented. Effective implementation only takes place through effective use of the organisation's major resource - its people. You will therefore develop your skills as a manager in terms of problemsolving, teamwork and leadership, as well as your skills in presentations and interviews.
