Pam is employed as a Research Fellow on the EU funded project 'Learning to Collaborate' which aims to produce a simulation for teaching collaboration skills. She is also working with Professor Chris Huxham and Dr Paul Hibbert on the AIM funded work on success in collaborations. Her Doctoral research is concerned with how people work together in Primary Care in the NHS transcending organizational boundaries in order to plan and deliver services. Previous work as a manager and consultant includes working in and with partnership situations in the private, public and voluntary sectors.
Prior to working in Strathclyde Business School Pam studied and worked at Lancaster University where she taught on undergraduate programmes in Management and taught and supervised Masters students in Management, Information Management and Project Management. Pam also worked for CETAD a centre at Lancaster University which works with part-time students via Action Learning Sets and reflective practice. The CETAD courses ranged from a Key Skills Certificate for the Voluntary Sector through a Certificate in Management to the MA in Developing Professional Practice for which she wrote the Part 1 material.
Pam has previously worked as a Research Assistant on two EPSRC funded projects on the use of Systems ideas and separately has been employed as a Researcher into Soft Systems Methodology.
