BEng and PhD both from the Engineering faculty at University of Strathclyde
Chartered Engineer, Member of Institution of Electrical Engineering
Robert is a double graduate of Strathclyde and began his academic career as a researcher here at the university before moving on to take a post at Glasgow University. His main research interests lie in the area of strategic change. He has researched extensively in the areas of business process approaches and the application of novel concepts like complexity theory to management issues. He has published regularly since 1991 and has performed funded research for both the EPSRC and ESRC. Recently he has become active in debates over managerial relevance and has published on the subject of practice-oriented research methods for business and management.
He currently holds a Chair in Strategic Management at the University of Glasgow.
