Roger Gill is Director of the Research Centre for Leadership Studies at The Leadership Trust Foundation. He is also Visiting Professor at the University of Strathclyde Graduate School of Business in Glasgow and a member of the International Advisory Board of the Executive Center for Global Leadership, based in Bali, Indonesia. He is Programme Director for the MBA in Leadership Studies, run jointly by The Leadership Trust Foundation and Strathclyde.
Roger has served in full-time and visiting professorships at university business schools in the UK, France and the USA, and he was formerly Professor of Business Administration (Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management) and Director of Executive Development Programmes at Strathclyde. Roger also acts as an external examiner for PhD degrees at universities in the UK and Australia. He has held executive positions in human resources management in the computer, engineering and textile industries. Roger has many years' experience in management consulting, both full-time and part-time, in the UK, USA, Middle East and Far East, having directed or conducted assignments for over 350 client organizations in a wide range of industries and the public sector since 1969. He ran his own HR consulting and management training company in Singapore between 1982 and 1990.
He has published many scholarly and professional articles on leadership, OB and HRM as well as book chapters, research reports, working papers and a booklet. He is currently writing a book on leadership for Sage Publications, London.
Roger is a Chartered Psychologist with degrees in psychology, philosophy, and occupational psychology, including a PhD, from the Universities of Oxford, Liverpool and Bradford. He is a fellow or member of several academic, professional and management associations.
