Shenxue had years of business experience before she embarked on her career in academia. She undertook a study about international business strategy collaborating with four German companies in 1999. She then researched local knowledge management strategies within 18 European Multinationals in China. Since 2004 she has collaborated with 11 leading multinationals and worked on an AIM funded research project on international knowledge transfer with a particular focus on examining the assumed causal relationship between organizational learning and corporate performance in the international business setting.
